This two-day course looks at how road safety education has changed over the years and gives delegates an insight into how education is aligned with current policy in the UK. With more focus on training and education, this course helps delegates to recognise the important role education plays in understanding how collisions occur and how it is in alignment with the basic principles of the ‘3 Es’ of safety.
The course will cover how to put together effective safety campaigns using appropriate media to target specific groups, and how to use various behavioural change techniques and evaluate the results to determine their effectiveness.
This course is aimed at professionals who have some experience in training techniques but wish to expand their knowledge in order to carry out road safety training or put together small road safety campaigns.
The course gives delegates an introduction into road safety education by underpinning the knowledge of how to put an effective campaign together. The course is designed to encourage delegates to share their experiences of road safety training and how to evaluate education campaigns.
Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.
