TMS has successfully delivered its first new course in Ireland since the launch of the NRA Approved Certificate of Competency qualification.
This new two day course – “Keeping Up to Date with Safety Audit” – is aimed at qualified auditors with at least two years experience in undertaking road safety audits. The course examines the new Irish RSA Standard, looks at a number of new research publications, considers the highway design implications of an ageing road user population, investigates a series of fatal cycle collisions together with innovative solutions to cycle design issues, and looks at the comparison between the DMRB and DMURS.
In addition delegates undertake a number of safety audit workshops, including a Stage 3 on site.
Course Tutor Steve Proctor said “ It’s great to be back in Ireland with a brand new course and have 14 enthusiastic delegates wanting to explore new ideas in Safety Engineering and Audit. I’m sure we will be running this course again soon, so anyone in Ireland with a Certificate of Competency wanting to maintain their CPD in line with the requirements of the European Directive will be welcome on this course”
