A team of three TMS Engineers recently travelled to Aviemore to carry out Safety and Cycle Audits on a project near the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. The scheme involves dualling approximately 7.5km of the A9 between Kincraig and Dalraddy, just south of Aviemore. The A9 is a vital strategic route linking central Scotland to Inverness and the Highlands and the upgrade will be the first of 12 projects along the A9.
Harminder Aulak, Technical Director at TMS said:
“We get to see many new places whilst working at TMS, but not many areas can match the magnificence and beauty of the snow-capped Cairngorm Mountains. It was a pleasure carrying out the audits in such a scenic part of the country. The only downside was that the ski centre was closed and the snow was starting to melt; it was a balmy 10C on the mountain!”
