West Sussex County Council recently recommended TMS to the governors of Worth School, a private school based at Worth Abbey near Crawley, to carry out a Safety Assessment of the internal traffic management and pedestrian provision.
The school had recently carried out improvements to the traffic management within the school grounds to reduce the amount of through traffic created by parents and delivery vehicles. A new parking area was designated to parents and teachers with vehicles forced to use a separate entrance away from the heart of the school. Improvements to the pedestrian routes throughout the school were also made, including new footways, crossing points and upgraded lighting.
Being commissioned to carry out work of this nature in West Sussex highlights the impact of the working relationship between TMS and West Sussex County Council, and the positive recommendations being passed on. It also demonstrates the diverse nature of work offered by TMS and our flexibility to tailor assessments to the needs of our clients.
