Project work growth for TMS

In recent months there has been a welcome increase in project work for TMS.  Some of the work included:

  • Two projects for West Sussex County Council included an accident investigation and prevention study of a gyratory system in Chichester and a safety review of proposed 20mph speed limits (read more)
  • Accident studies of two sites in the London Borough of Havering, with the first being a rural dual carriageway junction and the other an urban traffic signal junction in Rainham.
  • Work Transport Risk Assessments, with one for Toyota UK. This was a safety assessment of the traffic management arrangements within the car parks at their site in Burnaston, Derbyshire. The weather couldn't have been wetter for the site visit (though project leader Mark Steventon does have a good waterproof coat and doesn't mind if his hair gets wet). The report was completed on time and Toyota hope to implement the recommendations in their car-park redesign (read more)
  • Other projects have involved safety assessments of bus routes, signal junction reviews, the review of shared space and public realm schemes and the completion of traffic management plans
