Rob is a Senior Road Safety Consultant at TMS and is involved mainly in AIP investigations, road safety auditing, NMU/Accessibility/Cycle audits and offering road safety advice to clients.
Rob has over nine year's experience of accident investigation, data analysis, road safety engineering and research type work. Rob started his career in 2000 with Loughborough University as a Research Officer before working on the 'On-The-Spot' collision research project for four years on behalf of the DfT. Rob has attended and investigated over 300 road accidents, extending his experience and knowledge in the field of accident investigation, accident databases and research.
Rob moved to Leicestershire County Council at the end of 2004 working for the AIP team for over three years, where along with undertaking road safety engineering work, accident investigation reports and road safety audits, he reviewed their collision investigation analysis software and developed a monitoring system for local safety schemes.
Since moving to TMS in March 2008 Rob has carried out over 350 road safety audits in the UK and Ireland and is a qualified audit team leader. Rob has audited major road schemes including new motorways, dual carriageways and grade separated junctions. He has also carried out numerous audits on local schemes, including junction improvements, town centre enhancements, traffic calming schemes and safer routes to school projects.
Rob also undertakes accident investigation and prevention work at TMS and has a good knowledge and experience of accident causation factors.
