Introduction to Development Control

Course Overview

A one-day course which gives a practical introduction the role of the Development Management / Control Officer in a local authority.

Aims and Objectives

The course is aimed at engineers and planners involved in the management of new development schemes and securing of highway infrastructure improvements through developer contributions, planning conditions and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

Certification

Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.

Please note that this is only available as an in-house training course to be delivered at your offices or at a venue of your choice.

I was pleased with the level of detail covered, and the examples used. Tara explained everything clearly and engaged the group. I think the fact that we were a smaller group was beneficial; much more personable and allowed for more detailed discussion on individual topics relevant to us.
