This course will be taught as 4 separate modules of 2 days duration, adding up to a total of 8 days. At the end of each module an assignment will be set. This should be completed by the student and submitted by the start of the next module. There will be around 6 weeks between the modules, which allows students sufficient time to complete the assignment and hand it before the next module commences.
This course will provide students with a comprehensive introduction to highway maintenance and will give students the confidence to do this type of work once back in the working environment. The course is valuable to students new to the subject matter or those with practical experience but lacking the academic background in the subject area. The qualification is a well respected demonstration of competence in this area of work.
This course offers an NCFE Certificates of Achievement for students through completion of a series of assignments that will be assessed by TMS and City of Bath College. These courses can also contribute to the achievement of a Professional Diploma in Civil Engineering by further study of Highways and Transportation topics material from the TMS and City of Bath College training programme.
Students can attend the courses and not undertake the assignments if they wish and will receive a certificate of attendance (providing all the modules are attended).
A joint TMS / City of Bath College Certificate/Diploma will also be issued to students completing the course.
Fee for this course is £1,595 plus VAT. This is payable in advance of attending the course (not on completion). This will include a course manual, additional notes and lunch / refreshments on the days of the course. The course will be run at a training venue in Coventry.
