Road Safety Audit Awareness


Overview:

A one day course designed for those people who are not directly involved in carrying out Road Safety Audits but are required to understand the Road Safety Audit process, and what is required of them, when commissioning or responding to Audits.


Aims and Objectives:

  • To give delegates an introduction to the principles of road safety audit
  • To illustrate and discuss common problems that may affect highway safety
  • To inform and encourage colleagues to support casualty reduction activities in their day to day roles.

  • The relationship between Road safety Audit and Road Traffic Collisions
  • What Road Safety Auditors look for
  • Legal implications of Road Safety Audit - Roles and responsibilities
  • Safety Audit scheme notification and monitoring

Certification:

Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.
