Overview:

This course is designed for those staff working in areas where they need to engage with members of the public through statutory consultations and public participation in scheme design and implementation.


Aims and Objectives:

The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the requirements for public consultation, and to help delegates develop techniques appropriate to the level of consultation required. The course examines both the techniques available to staff, and ways of evaluating responses. Delegates will participate in a series of workshops, culminating in a role play exercise based around a public meeting.

Certification:

Delegates completing this course will receive a CPD certificate of attendance, recognised by both the IHE and CIHT.
