Traffic and Safety Review - Keele University Campus  

TMS was commissioned by the Department of Facilities Management of Keele University to undertake a Traffic and Safety Review of the University Campus.  The University had become increasingly concerned about the interaction on the Campus roads between pedestrians, cyclists and motorised vehicular traffic, including public service vehicles.

Our report identified conflict situations and prepared a programme of actions to bring the facilities on the site up to the current conventional highway standards.

The review also took into account the needs of the mobility and visually impaired and recommended improvements that would assist the University to bring their infrastructure in-line with the provisions of Disability Discrimination legislation.

TMS also reviewed the complex parking situation on the site and made operational recommendations that would result in a more efficient use of the available areas.
