N18 Ennis Bypass

The N18 Ennis Bypass was opened in January 2007 and consisted of 15km of new dual carriageway.

The scheme also included the N85 Western Relief Road, which consisted of 7km of dual and single carriageway road. The project was funded, in part, by the EU. The total scheme cost was €190 million. 

TMS carried out numerous road safety audits on the N18 Ennis Bypass at stages 1, 2 and 3 including audits on the Mainline, Barefield junction, merge and diverge lanes, temporary diversions, signs, road markings, safety fencing and temporary traffic management (TTM).
