Accessibility Studies in the UK

The majority of our accessibility work in the UK has taken place on a scheme by scheme or site by site basis as Mobility Audits.  Local Authorities increasingly commission this work as part of their general pedestrian/vulnerable road user studies on a route by route basis.

In the private sector, large commercial companies with private road networks have accessibility studies carried out which form part of their planning conditions for site development.

TMS has undertaken a number of these accessibility studies in both the public and private sectors including:

Public Sector

  • Brighton City Centre
  • Wednesbury Town Centre
  • Birmingham City Centre
  • Various routes for Surrey County Council
  • Various routes for Leicestershire County Council
  • Various development sites for Gloucestershire County Council
  • Junction improvement scheme for London Borough of Bexley
  • Walking routes for London Borough of Hammersmith

Private Sector

  • Loughborough University Campus
  • IBM site near Glasgow
  • Royal Parks in London
