VSRC and TMS working on research study into motorcycle collisions

TMS is working with the Vehicle Safety Research Centre (VSRC) at the University of Loughborough on a Department of Transport funded research study into motorcycle collisions with roadside objects.

The study uses the On the Spot (OTS) collision database to identify locations, objects struck and injuries sustained.

The objective of the study is to visit the crash locations to determine common objects struck, and whether alternatives could have been used to prevent or reduce the type and extent of injury sustained.
