Mark is involved in road safety auditing, accessibility auditing, operational safety assessments, AIP investigations and training at TMS.

Mark joined TMS in 2006 as Senior Road Safety Consultant after serving 30 years in the police force. Mark was the team leader of the Warwickshire Police Road Safety Unit, working in partnership with local highway authorities to reduce road casualties through engineering, enforcement and education. His road policing experience includes the supervision of traffic law enforcement and the investigation of serious injury and fatal road traffic collisions.

At TMS Mark is involved in carrying out road safety audits, accessibility audits, safety assessments, AIP and other project work, as well as delivering training courses.

Since 2006, Mark has completed over 500 road safety audits and is qualified as an audit team leader. His experience of road safety auditing includes carrying out audits at all stages of major and minor schemes in the UK and Ireland.

Mark is our most experienced accessibility auditor. He has had a significant role in carrying out all of the major accessibility audit projects undertaken by TMS and also regularly delivers training courses on accessibility issues.

Mark is qualified to degree level in law and has a special interest in the liability of highway authorities for road accidents. He is also one of the four TMS training team members qualified to deliver the new LANTRA Awards T7 training course in Temporary Traffic Management (Sector Scheme 12D).
