At TMS, Duncan is involved in Training, AIP investigations, road safety auditing and risk assessments.
Duncan joined TMS in 2002 as a Senior Engineer and has more than 25 years experience in the field of Road Safety Engineering.
Prior to joining TMS, Duncan worked for Warwickshire County Council primarily as the Team Leader of the Accident Reduction Unit, and also has 6 years transport planning experience.
At both TMS and Warwickshire County Council, Duncan has gained wide experience in the investigation, design and monitoring of accident remedial schemes including cluster sites, route studies, mass action sites and area-wide traffic calming schemes. He is also Course Director for the TMS/RoSPA Road Safety Engineering Courses and a Transportation NVQ Assessor.
At TMS, Duncan has delivered over 200 training courses covering all aspects of traffic engineering, from collision investigation to disability awareness. He has also carried out over 250 road safety audits at all stages of major and minor schemes in the UK. In addition, Duncan has carried out numerous walking routes to school assessments for local authorities throughout the UK.
Duncan has extensive experience in delivering training courses and carrying out overseas road safety projects in various countries such as Belgium and the Republic of Ireland.
Outside of work, Duncan is interested in all forms of motor sport (particularly rallying), scouting and watching Leicester Tigers play rugby.
